The Opportunity
Join our growing Forensic team in Brisbane and work alongside leading forensic accounting and valuation experts on complex commercial disputes. As a Manager or Senior Manager, you will assist the Partners in managing high-profile dispute advisory and valuation engagements, build and strengthen client relationships, mentor and develop team members, and contribute to the continued growth of our practice. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with Partners and legal counsel on complex matters while playing a key role in shaping the future of the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver a range of forensic and advisory engagements, with a focus on dispute advisory and business valuation services.
- Manage the preparation and review of independent expert reports, financial analyses and valuation models for litigation, arbitration and other dispute resolution matters.
- Quantify economic loss, damages and other financial remedies in the context of commercial disputes.
- Lead valuations of businesses, shares, intellectual property, and other tangible and intangible assets.
- Critically review and assess the work of opposing experts and advisers in legal proceedings.
- Manage multiple engagements concurrently, ensuring quality, timeliness, budget performance and client satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, referrers, legal advisers and other key stakeholders.
- Identify and pursue business development opportunities, including preparing proposals, participating in pitches and contributing to thought leadership initiatives.
- Mentor, coach and develop junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
- Maintain compliance with professional, regulatory and risk management requirements.
About You
- A relevant undergraduate degree in commerce, finance, business, economics, law or a related discipline.
- CA, CFA or an equivalent professional qualification.
- Significant professional experience in forensic accounting, dispute advisory, business valuations, corporate finance or a related advisory discipline.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex client engagements and delivering high-quality outcomes.
- Strong expertise in financial modelling, valuation methodologies and financial analysis.
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, legal professionals and external advisers.
- Strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Experience leading, mentoring and developing high-performing teams..
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing and reviewing complex reports and presenting findings to clients and stakeholders.
