What you will do
- Conduct open-source research to support national security investigations.
- Analyse Chinese-language material to identify potential risks and trends.
- Prepare high-quality written reports and assessments.
- Apply strong data literacy and analytical skills to extract and communicate insight.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners on priority national security programs.
- Contribute to strategic advisory engagements that contribute to Australia’s national interest.
Who you are
- Professional proficiency in reading Chinese (ILR3+, HSK 6 or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience in analysis, research, or advisory – or an ability learn quickly.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including report drafting.
- High levels of curiosity, critical thinking and attention to detail.
- A current Australian Government security clearance (NV1/NV2), or an ability and willingness to obtain one.
While not a mandatory requirement, proficiency in Python, R or similar coding languages would also be welcomed.
