The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an Assistant Manager to join our growing and market leading Melbourne team. As part of our Restructuring team, you will assist our clients to restore stability and maximise value through financial and operational challenges on restructuring, turnaround and insolvency engagements.  Partnering with boards, management teams and financiers facing situations of financial distress, we quickly identify root causes, formulate turnaround strategies and implement value-maximising restructures.  We advise companies across all industry sectors and business sizes. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with management of projects (including financial management).
  • Apply industry and market knowledge to anticipate, identify and address issues relevant to the client’s business.
  • Assist with quality control on projects.
  • Perform financial and commercial analysis to support key decisions and recommendations to our clients.
  • Use or develop financial models and reporting protocols.
  • Provide quality service to clients and strengthening relationships.

About You

  • At least 3 years relevant employment experience (insolvency experience preferred but not essential).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong business and commercial acumen.
  • Ability to deal with sensitive matters confidentially and tactfully.
  • University degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or related
  • Qualifications as a Chartered Accountant highly desirable
