The Opportunity 
Our Deals team provides corporate, private equity and founders-lead businesses with high quality, independent, and objective M&A transaction advice. As part of our continued investment in building out our national Deals team, we are seeking a Manager to join our Melbourne M&A Advisory team, supporting private and public companies to navigate complex transaction environments and unlock value for shareholders.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the execution of the end-to-end M&A transaction lifecycle, from origination and mandate execution through management of due diligence, negotiation, and completion.
  • Deliver high quality financial, commercial and strategic transaction support analysis to underpin transaction project and advice, including market analysis, strategy papers, information memoranda, management presentations, bidder analysis, indicative pricing guides and other transaction related materials.
  • Assist with managing the relationships with key stakeholders — including owners, boards, investors, senior executives, and other stakeholders — ensuring clear, concise communication and effective negotiation throughout the transaction process.
  • Apply advanced financial analysis and valuation expertise to evaluate targets, including assessment of historical and forecast performance, DCF analysis, comparable analysis, key risks, value drivers, and potential synergies.

 

About You

  • Genuinely interested in advisory‑led M&A and the impact it can have for clients.
  • Approximately 4 - 6 years of M&A advisory experience, ideally gained in consulting, investment banking, or corporate development, with strong exposure across the full transaction lifecycle.
  • Experience on M&A engagements, managing multiple workstreams, and delivering high quality insights for senior decision makers.
  • Strong analytical capability paired with commercial judgement and business acumen.
  • Commercially astute with sound judgement and a developing ability to influence, challenge and guide stakeholders.
  • Confident working with a diverse range of stakeholders, with the ability to communicate clearly and build credibility over time.
  • Naturally collaborative, with a desire to learn, contribute and support others in a high‑performing team environment.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and workstreams while maintaining attention to detail and quality outputs.Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, with experience producing clear, client‑ready materials.
  • CA, CFA or equivalent qualification preferred.
