The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Analyst to join our Forensic team in Melbourne. Our Forensic practice operates in complex and often high stakes business and regulatory environments. We support organisations to prevent, detect and respond to allegations of misconduct, fraud, financial crime and integrity issues, and to resolve commercial disputes and potential litigation.

As a Senior Analyst, you will play a key role in the delivery of forensic investigations and advisory engagements, working closely with clients, legal advisers and senior internal stakeholders. Matters are often sensitive, time critical and highly judgement based, requiring strong analytical capability, sound professional judgement and excellent interpersonal skills.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of a broad range of forensic investigations and advisory assignments.
  • Identify, collect and analyse evidence relating to allegations of fraud, misconduct and other inappropriate behaviour.
  • Assist in developing investigation plans, including identifying relevant sources of information and evidence.
  • Analyse financial records, electronic data, emails and other documentary evidence.
  • Support and corroborate interviews of complainants, witnesses and subject persons.
  • Document investigation procedures and outcomes, and assist with the preparation of clear, defensible client reports.
  • Prepare for and attend client briefings to provide updates on investigation progress and findings.
  • Contribute to building and maintaining strong client relationships through highquality service delivery.

 

About You

  • Degree qualified and have completed, studying toward or have an interest in completing your Chartered Accountant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Ideally you will have experience in an accounting, internal audit, risk, compliance, enforcement or similar Forensic role ideally within a professional services environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to distil complex information into clear and practical insights
  • Have sound business and commercial acumen.
  • Ability to deal with sensitive matters confidentially and tactfully.
