We are a leading national professional services firm seeking a talented Forensic Senior Manager with disputes and investigations experience to join our dynamic Forensic team based in Melbourne.

 

Our Forensic team deals with ever-changing business and regulatory environments. We work with organisations to prevent and respond to allegations of inappropriate behaviour, misconduct, fraud and financial crime, payroll advisory reviews as well as deal with commercial disputes.

 

What you will do

  • Lead and execute a variety of forensic and advisory assignments, with a focus on dispute advisory services (e.g., preparing expert reports for dispute resolution) and financial investigations.
  • Examine financial records, policies, processes for the purpose of constructing analyses of loss and damage and other forms of financial claims.
  • Develop financial models to assess measures of loss and damage
  • Work with other McGrathNicol professionals such as restructuring, data analytics and deals
  • Analyse financial statements and prepare forensic accounting independent expert and investigation reports.
  • Establish and cultivate a network of business development contacts.
  • Conduct business development activities such as publishing technical papers, articles and presentations
  • Manage project teams and oversee payroll advisory projects, dispute and investigation assignments, including financial management.
  • Manage commercial aspects of engagements, assisting in budgeting process, managing WIP to budgeting and client invoicing.
  • Strengthen client relations through consistently delivering excellent client service.

 

Who you are

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in business, Commerce or related field.
  • Full Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand membership (or nearing completion).
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge with prior relevant experience within a professional services environment.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • Strong business and commercial acumen.
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters confidentially and tactfully.
