The Opportunity

As part of our Restructuring team, you will assist our clients to restore stability and maximise value through financial and operational challenges on restructuring, turnaround and insolvency engagements.  Partnering with boards, management teams and financiers facing situations of financial distress, we quickly identify root causes, formulate turnaround strategies and implement value-maximising restructures.  We advise companies across all industry sectors and business sizes. 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Support the management and delivery of restructuring and advisory engagements, including assisting with day‑to‑day project coordination, resourcing and financial management.
  • Apply industry, market and transaction knowledge to help identify risks, issues and opportunities impacting clients, and contribute to practical, commercially sound solutions.
  • Assist with quality control across engagements, ensuring analyses and deliverables are accurate, well‑structured and aligned with engagement objectives.
  • Perform and review financial and commercial analysis to support recommendations to clients, including cash flow analysis, scenario modelling and decision support.
  • Design, build and maintain financial models and management reporting to support restructuring, turnaround and advisory outcomes.
  • Deliver a high standard of client service and contribute to building trusted, long‑term client relationships.
  • Support the development of junior team members by delegating appropriately, providing guidance and coaching, and reviewing work to ensure quality outcomes.

 

About You

  • Demonstrated technical knowledge.
  • Proven experience leading, mentoring and developing junior team members while managing workflow and deliverables.
  • Prior relevant experience within a professional services environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with clients, stakeholders and senior colleagues.
  • Well‑developed commercial acumen, with the ability to understand client issues, assess risk and contribute to practical, value‑adding solutions.
  • High levels of professionalism, discretion and judgement when dealing with sensitive or confidential matters.
  • University degree in Business, Commerce or a related discipline; full Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand (CA ANZ) membership highly regarded.
