The Opportunity
Our Deals team provides corporate, private equity and banking clients with high quality, independent, and objective M&A transaction advice. As part of our continued investment in building out our national Deals & Performance team, we are seeking an experienced Manager or Senior Manager to join our Perth M&A team, supporting private and public companies to navigate complex transaction environments and unlock value for shareholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and project‑manage the end‑to‑end M&A transaction lifecycle, from origination and mandate execution through due diligence, negotiation, and completion, ensuring transactions are delivered on time and aligned with clients’ strategic and financial objectives.
- Oversee and deliver high‑quality financial, commercial and strategic analysis to underpin transaction advice, including business performance assessment, market analysis, and deal structuring considerations.
- Apply advanced financial analysis and valuation expertise to evaluate acquisition targets, including assessment of historical and forecast performance, key risks, value drivers, and potential synergies.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders — including owners, boards, investors, and senior executives — ensuring clear, concise communication and effective negotiation throughout the transaction process.
- Mentor, coach and support junior team members providing coaching and feedback to improve technical standards, efficient execution, and ongoing professional development within the team.
About You
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking and problem solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial and commercial information quickly and accurately.
- Commercially astute with sound judgement and the ability to influence, challenge and guide stakeholders.
- A collaborative team player who thrives in a high-performance environment.
- Committed to delivering exceptional client outcomes with professionalism and integrity.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint), with the ability to develop clear and compelling deliverables.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience presenting to and influencing C‑suite executives, boards, investors, and senior leadership.
Qualifications & Experience
- 4 - 7 years of M&A advisory experience, ideally gained in consulting, investment banking, accounting, or corporate development, with strong exposure across the full transaction lifecycle.
- Proven experience leading complex due diligence engagements, managing multiple workstreams, and delivering high‑quality insights for senior decision‑makers.
- Advanced financial and technical capability, including financial analysis, modelling, valuation understanding, synergy assessment, integration/separation considerations, and commercial reasoning.
- CA, CFA or equivalent qualification (strongly preferred).
