Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver valuation engagements for a variety of purposes, including accounting / financial reporting, tax, and transaction support.
- Perform advanced financial analysis and modelling to support valuation assessments, utilising all methodologies including discounted cash flow, capitalisation of earnings and asset-based approaches.
- Perform robust and supportable valuation metric research and analysis including comparable companies, comparable transactions, discount rate inputs, and industry dynamics.
- Draft and review high quality valuation reports, ensuring clarity, technical accuracy and sound judgement in conclusions and assumptions.
- Manage valuation engagements end to end, including scoping, execution, review and delivery, while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Work collaboratively with the Deals team nationally, providing valuation input as part of broader transaction engagements where required.
- Support and mentor junior team members, contributing to capability development within the valuations discipline.
About You
- Manager level experience (i.e. 5-7 years) within a corporate finance, deals or M&A advisory environment, with the majority of experience focused on the valuation of businesses, equity interests and intangible assets.
- Strong, proven technical capability of valuation methodologies, financial accounting and financial modelling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong report writing skills.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and workstreams while maintaining attention to detail and quality outputs.
- Comfortable working in a national, collaborative model.
- Professional accreditation such as CA, CFA or equivalent preferred.
