Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver valuation engagements for a variety of purposes, including accounting / financial reporting, tax, and transaction support.
  • Perform advanced financial analysis and modelling to support valuation assessments, utilising all methodologies including discounted cash flow, capitalisation of earnings and asset-based approaches.
  • Perform robust and supportable valuation metric research and analysis including comparable companies, comparable transactions, discount rate inputs, and industry dynamics.
  • Draft and review high quality valuation reports, ensuring clarity, technical accuracy and sound judgement in conclusions and assumptions.
  • Manage valuation engagements end to end, including scoping, execution, review and delivery, while maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Work collaboratively with the Deals team nationally, providing valuation input as part of broader transaction engagements where required.
  • Support and mentor junior team members, contributing to capability development within the valuations discipline.

 

About You

  • Manager level experience (i.e. 5-7 years) within a corporate finance, deals or M&A advisory environment, with the majority of experience focused on the valuation of businesses, equity interests and intangible assets.
  • Strong, proven technical capability of valuation methodologies, financial accounting and financial modelling.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong report writing skills.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and workstreams while maintaining attention to detail and quality outputs.
  • Comfortable working in a national, collaborative model.
  • Professional accreditation such as CA, CFA or equivalent preferred.
