We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Analyst with a passion for all things data to join our National Data Analytics team in Sydney. Our Data Analytics team integrates computer science, mathematics, statistics, econometrics, and financial accounting, bringing decades of cross-industry experience. We employ a robust methodology to transform inputs into actionable solutions that meet client and stakeholder requirements.

What will you do

• Develop data collection systems and acquire data from primary or secondary sources required to support our work.
• Conduct a quality assurance process to address any data issues encountered.
• Developing diagnostic, descriptive, predictive or prescriptive models to provide solutions and satisfy client, stakeholder and/or project requirements.
• Use analytical tools to interpret data sets and derive insights paying particular attention to trends and patterns valuable to provide impactful conclusions and recommendations.
• Designing and developing effective, interactive and impactful dashboards utilising Power BI.

Who you are

• Previous work experience in computer programming (Alteryx, Python, SQL, R), database management (SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL), and data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Possess a methodical and logical approach to problem solving and a high level of quantitative skills.
• Hands on curious/ inquisitive mindset.
• Possess a genuine passion and understanding of the data analytics activities including data collection, data cleansing, modelling and visualisation.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to obtain insights from significant amounts of data accurately and with strong attention to detail.
• Understands the requirement to plan and handle multiple projects simultaneously meeting deadlines.
• Have graduated from a STEM related degree.
